The mobile phone company Movistar became the first in the country to provide customer service in languages of origin. Users can communicate to the number 102 to report damages or 104 to make inquiries or complaints, and choose to speak in Spanish, Quechua or Aymara. Raúl Risso, Customer Service director of Movistar, reported that the service has registered a good reception among customers: bilingual operators serve about a thousand calls per day in languages of origin, from the towns of Arequipa, Puno, Cusco, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Huancavelica, and Junín.
