GTD Manquehue to expand FTTH service to more areas in Santiago

During 2008 one of GTD Manquehue’s aims is to expand the "Fiber to Home" (FTTH) service in the city of Santiago. The Development manager of the company, Sebastián Barrientos, said to Convergencialatina that "they are evaluating various technologies to further expand the service in residential areas." In April 2006, GTD Manquehue began marketing FTTH in a condominium directly connected to fiber optics. "One of the plans for this year is to continue developing this service to more areas of Santiago." According to data from November 2007, the company has 108,592 fixed telephone and broadband lines.
