With 730 million mobile subscriptions in the first quarter of 2015 in Latin America (more than 2.9 million in 2014), with 55% in 2G, 40% in 3G and less than 15% in LTE, Ericsson predicts that by 2020 the dominant technology in the region will continue under the GSM standard (located at 55%), while 4G will increase to 35%. And 86% of mobile traffic will be generated by smartphones.
