Argentine universities to participate in an Amazon cloud skills program

Yesterday the agreement was signed with Universidad Siglo 21 and Teclab Technical Institute thus students and teachers can access AWS (Amazon Web Services) Educate. Teresa Carlson, VP of Global Public Sector of AWS, told Convergencialatina that the initiative allows access to AWS resources in the areas of analytics and Big Data, Cloud architecture and software development; obtain credits for US$ 100 (in the case of students) or US$ 200 (if they are professors) for projects and discounts in certifications; as well as apply to jobs in the cloud sector in a job market. "In the next few years we will see a combination of online learning and collaboration options between universities and companies of specific verticals," she said.
