Cybersecurity: people at the center of the scene

Experts from Millicom, Araxxe and Positive Technologies debated yesterday at the event "Cybersecurity to guarantee income in the new normal", organized by Convergencialatina.

There are 3 fundamental pillars in matters related to security: people, processes and technology. This was one of the main conclusions of the virtual event held yesterday, moderated by Mariana Rodríguez Zani, director of Convergencialatina and Convergencia Research. Jorge Ochoa, manager of Millicom's Global Security Operations Center, emphasized the need to put people at the center of the scene, as the most important asset, which will allow the design of mature processes and the appropriate technology. He stressed that business continuity will depend on the development of the security layer designed from the beginning of the creation of each product or service.

Telecom posts 13.4% increase in consolidated sales in first half

The mobile customer base increased 33.6% year over year to 55.8 million users. In the fixed business, the group’s networks now pass more than 22.1 million homes.
