Shift for 5G deployments in Argentina postponed to 2022

For now, operators are betting on gaining spectral efficiency with DSS in existing networks. Telecom's first experience uses together with 4G the band currently available of 2,600 MHz, in a complementary way with 700 MHz: there, a 10% increase in spectral efficiency has already been achieved.

Regulation, legislation and business is the tripod on which the Argentine government, operators and vendors work to clear the way towards 5G. The goal is to give the starting signal in the second half of 2022, in order not to generate delays in the adoption of the new technology (after a 2020 of little progress in the country as a result of the pandemic).
