AWS heats up tender for private 5G

It launched its AWS Private 5G division to offer networks to end customers, bypassing the operators, which are its current customers. It offers ease of implementation and low, predictable costs. But the proposal has limitations that can make it less revolutionary than it appears.

The announcement by AWS, that it will offer the construction and operation of private 5G networks to companies, bypassing telcos, opened a new stage in the competition for that market that could reach US$20 billion in the United States alone in 2028 , according to Verified Market Research.
