O3b mPOWER: from medium orbit, SES guarantees dedicated beams for each terminal

With its second generation of software-based satellites, the company multiplied its transmission capacity with dynamic ability to generate the beams, determine their power and allocate bandwidth.

On April 24, SES announced that O3b mPOWER, its software-based second-generation satellite system, was operational at global level, with six active satellites and another two to come by the end of the year (out of a total of 13 that the fleet will have).
