Guido Gómez Mazara was sworn in as Chairman of the Board of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) in a ceremony led by the Minister of Economy, Planning, and Development, Pável Isa Contreras. The head of the institution was appointed by President Luis Abinader through decree 455-24. On his first day in office, he met with the outgoing Chairman, Nelson Arroyo, who presented him with a report on the institution's key issues.
