New suspension of negotiations for Claro and Movistar licenses

The Telecommunications Regulation and Control Agency (Arcotel) has once again decided to suspend the negotiation process for the licenses of the two private mobile operators: Consorcio Ecuatoriano de Telecomunicaciones, S.A. (Conecel), which operates under the Claro Ecuador brand and is owned by América Móvil, and Otecel, S.A., which operates under the Movistar brand and is owned by Telefónica.
