The Knowledge Economy (EdC) sector is Argentina’s third-largest export complex (US$ 9.378 billion in 2024), with more than 9,000 employer firms. Its performance is usually accompanied by strong figures and positive forecasts due to the sector’s momentum and the cross-cutting use of its services across the economy. However, just over 18 months into President Javier Milei’s administration, signs of concern are emerging regarding the implementation of the EdC Law and the restructuring of the Ministry of Economy, amid a greater role for municipalities and provinces in sectoral promotion policies.
