Sutel rejects Tigo and Liberty merger

The Superintendence of Telecommunications (Sutel) has rejected the merger of operations between telecommunications companies Tigo and Liberty, announced on August 1 of the previous year. According to the initial agreement, Liberty Latin America and its local minority partner would hold approximately 86% of the joint operations, while Millicom would retain 14%.
