Rising sanctions on the telecommunications sector could put internet access at risk

The Association for the Promotion of National Infrastructure (AFIN) issued a statement warning that a series of recent decisions and institutional changes are affecting the financial and technical sustainability of the telecommunications sector in the country. According to the industry group, this scenario could have direct consequences for the continuity and expansion of internet services, particularly in Peru’s most remote areas.
