Mobile lines grew 7.5% and fixed lines 0.3% in 2025

The telecommunications landscape in El Salvador shows a notable increase in mobile connectivity, reaching a total of 12,031,743 active mobile lines by the end of 2025. This figure, from the latest report by the General Superintendency of Electricity and Telecommunications (Superintendencia General de Electricidad y Telecomunicaciones, Siget), is almost double the country’s population, estimated at 6.02 million inhabitants according to the 2024 Population Census.
