Ericsson and Nokia to deploy ICE’s 5G network

The Procurement Board of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, ICE) awarded Swedish company Ericsson the main contract for its 5G network infrastructure. The technology, which will be marketed under the Kölbi brand, arrives after years of delays in the tendering processes, including a previous attempt that was declared void with a value of US$125 million.
