The acquisition of Peruvian fixed broadband operator Wow Tel SAC by América Móvil, announced last week, has two particular characteristics: on the one hand, it represented an opportunity to acquire a company with a broad fiber optic rollout; on the other, it provides a leadership position in 17 departments of the country based on a solid commercial structure.
