Prodigy and Esmas struggle for PC market

In order to boost Internet use, Prodigy and Esmas.com, units of Telmex and Televisa, are now struggling for the PC sales market. With low prices, in the case of Esmas, and extended funding facilities by Prodigy, both firms have devised an aggressive strategy for PC penetration.

 

Prodigy, Telmex ISP started selling PCs with in-built access some three years ago. To date, the firm has funded over 614,000 computers.
