Carlos Morea, president at BroadBandTech (BBT), highlighted to Convergencia a diario that they are looking to associate with cable TV operators in Brazil and in Uruguay to help them enter the broadband Internet market through cablemodem technology. This way, BBT will try to use the business model it has in Argentina with Multicanal (Grupo Clarín), Supercanal (Grupo Uno) and Teledigital (HMT&F) for Internet in determined places throughout the country’s interior through the "head ends" operation.

In addition to, providing them with infrastructure and the “know how”, BBT is in charge of the telephone customer service of CATV`s operators, obtaining 8%-15% of the broadband Internet billing, according to the type of agreement signed. At the moment, BBT has 7,500 subscribers, mainly of Cablemodem, and has recently launched its telephone service, allowing interested cable operators to contract its mulitservice platform to offer triple play services.
