Abrint 2025 - Presentation of the Digital Brazil 2030+ Plan

This is an initiative led by the Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology and Digital Technology Companies (Brasscom). The plan was delivered to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in June 2024 and proposes a long-term vision for the development of digital technologies in Brazil.

During the presentation at Abrint 2025, held yesterday in San Pablo, Sérgio Sgobbi, a representative of Brasscom, emphasized that the BD30+ is not solely focused on technology, but on how it can be a means to improve the population’s quality of life. "We have to look at the population that hasn't had opportunities and doesn't benefit from the access or conditions we have today. We must leverage opportunities for them," he said.

Brasscom also stressed that the plan is not limited to the ICT sector. "We are seeking collaboration with sectors such as agriculture and commerce, so they understand this is a tool to improve people's quality of life," said Sgobbi. He added, “Digital transformation should have happened yesterday, but it also requires economic, regulatory, and social transformation.” In this regard, the plan includes mechanisms such as “Citizen Connection,” which will facilitate free access to digital public services.

The plan is structured around six fundamental pillars: Infrastructure for Digital Transformation; Strategic Technologies; Research, Development, and Innovation; Digital Education and Training; Social and Digital Inclusion; and Business Environment. These pillars were defined after more than 80 meetings with ministries, public agencies, organizations, and private companies.

One of the key goals is the digitalization of Basic Health Units and Emergency Care Units (UPAs), aiming to implement electronic medical records in 50% of the units by December 2025, with the objective of universalizing the integrated digital health system by December 2026.
