Liberty Latin America operates eleven data centers

Of that total, five belong to Liberty Networks, located in Panama, Miami, Curaçao, and Colombia (in the latter case, consisting of two data centers).

The central role of data centers in wholesale traffic patterns was one of the key discussion points at LINKS 2026, which concluded yesterday in Playa del Carmen and was organized by Liberty Networks. During a panel on infrastructure and connectivity, Steve Sasse, VP of Business Development & Latin America at datacenterHawk, noted that Latin America reached 2 gigawatts of data center capacity as of the end of March 2026.

Breaking it down by market, he pointed to Brazil with 1 gigawatt, while Argentina stands at 47 megawatts.

Also participating in the panel was Carmine Sorrentino, VP and commercial and operational director of the Wholesale Networks business at Liberty Networks. The executive urged attention to the “small edge data centers” segment, highlighting its business potential in smaller markets.
