Evo Morales inaugurates commercial services of the TKSAT-1 satellite

President Evo Morales has inaugurated commercial telecommunications services of the TKSAT-1 satellite, and the first customers to use this tool are: ENTEL, Bolivia TV and Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).

More than 50% of the capacity will be used exclusively by Entel, that thanks to this initiative will launch its new satellite television service, in addition to making significant reductions in mobile phone rates. The contracts with these three companies will generate revenues of US$ 23 million, and the use of all satellite capacity may generate up to US$ 40 million.
