Bolsonaro based his government plan on incorrect data on graphene and niobium development

In last August, Jair Bolsonaro presented his government plan for Brazil: "The road to prosperity", better known as Proyecto Fénix (Phoenix Project). According to the evaluation of specialists, the 80 pages of proposals contain enough inaccuracies and lack of knowledge, especially on the development of minerals of great potential in strategic industries.

The president-elect assures that, during his mandate, Brazil will be transformed into a a research and development center for graphene and nobium, two key minerals for several industries (especially electronics, technology and aerospace). During the campaign, Bolsonaro assured that it was necessary to invest in these two minerals "of which Brazil has incredible deposits and does not use them". While in his visit to Japan before the elections, he discovered the applications of graphene, for example, in the development of a nuclear submarine.
