Panama begins 5G era with Más Móvil pilots and plan to allocate more spectrum

The Cable & Wireless operator brand carries out tests with commercial, tourism and port firms for a period of two to three months with spectrum provided free of charge by the regulator ASEP. A public consultation on future attributions will be held before July and it is expected that the 3.5 GHz band will be awarded by the end of the year.

Panama entered the 5G era. This Thursday, April 25, the operator Más Móvil, of Cable & Wireless Panamá (belonging to the Liberty Latin America holding company), announced that this week the 5G pilot tests began in a block of spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band provided by the National Public Services Authority (ASEP, for its Spanish acronym).
