SG-1 remains firm in Arsat plan and relocates in 2027

This was reported by Hugo Nahuys, manager of Space Services of the Argentine state company, during Satellite Map Day 2024. The new device will have 34 times more communications capacity than the Arsat-1. The manufacturing cost is equivalent to a third of what it would cost Arsat to rent capacity on a foreign satellite.
