Millicom consolidates regional expansion in record second quarter

The group expanded its scale, demonstrating the effectiveness of its model focused on profitability and cash flow. Revenue reached US$ 2.179 billion. The mobile customer base increased 33.6% year over year to 55.8 million users. In the fixed business, the group’s networks now pass more than 22.1 million homes.

Millicom, which operates in Latin America under the Tigo brand and significantly expanded since 2025 after acquiring Telefónica’s assets, reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, marked by the integration of its recent acquisitions in Colombia (Coltel), Ecuador and Uruguay. The group expanded its scale, demonstrating the effectiveness of its model focused on profitability and cash flow.
