As of Oct. 1, mobile phone users will have new rules for canceling their plans. The Communications Regulation Commission (Comisión de Regulación de Comunicaciones, CRC) established that operators may not retain customers who have decided to terminate their service, transfer them from one channel to another or impose additional requirements during the process. The measure seeks to ensure that termination requests can be filed directly and without additional barriers.
